National Careers Week

National Careers Week at The Link School

At The Link School, National Careers Week is an important opportunity to inspire ambition, raise aspirations, and support learners to explore future pathways. We actively engage learners across all key stages through a range of meaningful careers experiences, including hosting our own Careers Fairs – for KS2 and KS3 learners at Springwell Dene, and for KS4 learners at Pallion.

These events bring together local employers, training providers, and education partners, giving learners the chance to ask questions, develop confidence, and learn about the world of work. Alongside this, we take part in local careers events and provide workplace engagement opportunities to help learners understand real‑life career routes.

Our careers programme is aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks for Good Career Guidance and underpinned by our REACH values of Respect, Effort, Achieve, Communication and Happy and Healthy, ensuring that all learners are supported to make informed, positive choices about their futures.

Learners also access resources such as the Northeast Ambition ‘Buzz Quiz’, which helps them identify interests, strengths and potential career pathways in a supportive and engaging way.
