National Apprenticeship Week

January 18, 2023

Here at the Link School we want our Learners to have access to a range of opportunities so that come their time to leave they have all the post-16 options and information at their fingertips. One amazing option for young people are apprenticeships and the 6th-13th February is National Apprenticeship Week in the UK.

In school we are hoping to have a number of apprentices and their employers visiting school to talk to learners about what it is really like to be on an apprenticeship scheme and to give more information about benefits to both the young person and the employer.

In lessons we will also be looking at the thousands of different apprenticeship job roles available to apply for as well as the educational requirements and personal skills needed.

Year 11 learners are already starting to apply for apprenticeship roles and have been completing workshops with ASK Apprenticeships over the last few weeks. You can find out more information about apprenticeships by using the following websites:

If you or your child would like more information about apprenticeships, help to apply or support to register and create a CV please contact the careers team at school by calling either site and asking for Gina Nesbitt or Rachel Reay.
