As you may have seen in the news yesterday afternoon, the government has announced that secondary school pupils will return to school on a staggered basis on the first week of the Spring Term. However, as The Link School is an Alternative Provision, the guidance states that:
“All specialist settings and alternative provision schools or settings should plan for full-time on-site provision for all pupils from the start of term. Those with secondary-age children are encouraged to take up the offer to test their pupils”
All pupils will return to school as planned on Monday 4 January 2021, with all previously communicated arrangements going ahead.
EYFS/KS1/KS2 Pupils
Monday to Thursday: 8.45am – 2.30pm
Friday: 8.45am – 12.30pm
KS3 Pupils
Monday to Thursday: 8.45am – 2.45pm
Friday: 8.45am – 12.30pm
Pallion
Y10 and Y11 classes will continue to have staggered start and finish times, these arrangements have been sent out by text.
We are awaiting further information from the government regarding mass testing and what this may look like for The Link School moving forward.
Once again thank you for your support during these difficult times. I wish you a very safe and happy Christmas and look forward to welcoming our pupils back for our second term on January 4th, 2021.
Yours sincerely,
Donna
